The Xiaomi smart water heater P1 is experiencing an inconsistent status display when connected to Home Assistant (HA) and Homekit. Despite the water heater being turned off, it continuously shows as "heating up" in Homekit, with no option to switch it on or off, only an "heat up" option. The water heater model is xiaomi.waterheater.ym03. To reproduce the issue, access the ha_xiaomi_home. The expected behavior is to be able to normally turn the water heater on and off. The issue was first encountered on 2025-12-16. The Home Assistant logs are currently not available, and the log timezone is set to Asia/ShangHai. The Home Assistant Core version is 2025.12.3, and the Home Assistant Operation System version is 16.3. The Xiaomi Home Integration version is v0.4.5. Further investigation is required to resolve this issue.
