Although the outlet can be controlled locally and turned on or off without any problems, it fails to provide data on the current power consumption of the device connected to it. This limitation renders critical automations useless for the user, highlighting the need for a solution that allows for full functionality in local mode. The problem was first encountered on October 30, 2025, and the user is running Home Assistant Core version 2024.10.4, with the Xiaomi Home integration version 0.4.3 on an operation system version 16.2. To address this issue, it is essential to determine whether the problem is specific to the device model or if adjustments to the integration can enable energy monitoring to work properly in local mode.
