The integration of Xiaomi Home with smart devices such as the Xiaomi Smart Lock 4 Pro has opened up new possibilities for home automation. However, the current implementation has limitations, particularly when it comes to distinguishing between indoor and outdoor locking mechanisms. This article explores the potential for enhancing the Xiaomi Home Assistant to recognize and differentiate between various locking methods, including indoor and outdoor unlocking, as well as different user identification methods like fingerprints and facial recognition. By generating separate entities for each unique locking method and user, the system can execute customized actions tailored to individual users and their preferred locking mechanisms, thus elevating the smart home experience to a new level of personalization and convenience.
